Salary

Salary Range: $100,000-120,000 plus commission

Job Description

- Manage a sales territory within an assigned geography and implement strategies and tactics that align with established sales and marketing plans.
- Communicate with new and existing academic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology accounts, through customer in-person visits, video-teleconferences and by telephone
- Leverage Company's Customer Relationship Management System to build out a territory database and to capture qualified leads
- Consistently achieve or exceed the territory sales plan by maintaining existing business, developing incremental business in existing accounts, and by finding new opportunities to drive growth.
- Build a pipeline for long-term sales momentum
- Develop enduring relationships with key opinion leaders; work to leverage their insights for VOC in new product development and commercialization as well as becoming a staunch Brand Advocate
- Monthly review of sales performance by territory and by business line, along with analysis
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments, as well as independently, while understanding the necessity for communicating and collaborating work efforts with other team members
- May be required to work overtime occasionally, as well as other duties that may be assigned

Requirements

Education/Qualifications:
Biology degree with in-depth knowledge of genomics cell biology and epigenetics is preferred; Advanced degree in science and/or business is a plus
3+ years industry experience in the life science tools / translational medicine market segments
Knowledge and experience with selling techniques (e.g., Miller Heimann, SPIN, Strategic Selling, Challenger Selling)
Highly motivated, a self-starter and able to work effectively and efficiently without supervision
Ability to travel extensively as needed to build long-term business relationships

Competencies:
- Knowledge of advanced translational/clinical workflows (e.g., PCR, immunology, NGS, single cell methods, spatial transcriptomics)
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams); and Salesforce.com
- Effective and efficient communication skills; ability to work with diverse personalities and perspectives
- High attention to details, problem-solving skills; both technical as well as business-based
